Wizkid, a well-known musician from Nigeria, has finally spoken out about skipping a performance he was scheduled to do at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana.
The artist said in a statement that a combination of legitimate factors led to his choice to skip the event.

In addition, he promised his followers a concert.
“Ghana is a nation I hold so dear to my heart, and I want to apologize to all of my supporters first and foremost,” he wrote. You all know that I would never take a decision without giving it careful thought.
I take the reputation of my brand seriously! To everyone who took the effort to come out last night for me, I humbly apologize. I was fired up and eager to do this act.
Please keep in mind, however, that I took every choice with respect for my fans in mind, and I would only have taken such an extreme step if I really had to and only because it was the right thing to do.

The Essence hitmaker was scheduled to appear in the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, December 10, 2022, but he did not, disappointing the crowd.
The concert’s promoters, Live Hub Entertainment, apologized in a statement for the artist’s cancellation the night before the performance.
The event’s organizers issued an apology to the attendees and claimed that the African music icon had broken his contract in a statement posted on their social media platforms.
They also pledged to reimburse event attendees who bought tickets.
“Last night, Wizkid violated his contractual responsibility. We deeply regret the trouble this has caused. All ticket buyers will get FULL refunds from us. portions of the claim were read.
