Yesterday, Saturday, October 30, 2021, the chief and elders of Wasa enstooled Fameye as ” Wasa Nyankonton” (meaning Wasa Rainbow).
After his enstoolment, the vocalist poured libations. Before his Family Concert, he had an enstoolment ritual.
“Fameye’s enstoolment is to recognize him for improving the name and image of the Wasa and Bogoso communities through his music”, according to the area’s leader, Nana Spire II.
“Wasaman and Bogoso’s names have been raised by Famaye. “The name I want to give Fameye today among all the singers in Ghana is ‘Wasa Nyankonton,’” the chief stated, to applause and cheers from his elders and the audience.
Fameye was grateful for the chief’s and his elders’ efforts to honor him.
“I’d want to express my gratitude to the chief and elders for bestowing this title and honor onto me. I’d like to express my gratitude to him and everyone else who was present.
I tell the chief and elders that I would not relent in my efforts to elevate Wasaman’s name. “As a young person, I will use all of my resources to assist young people,” he continued.
