The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) will release the provisional results of the 2021 Population and Housing Census on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, according to the Ministry of Information.
This was announced in a press statement signed by Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
“On Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021 at 10 a.m., the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) will release the provisional results of the 2021 Population and Housing Census (2021 PHC).”
“The publication of the report marks a significant step forward in the PHC dissemination strategy, which aims to encourage widespread use of census data for research, policy, and planning while also sharing lessons learned from the implementation process with national and international partners.”

The Ghana Statistical Service had previously announced the release dates for the Population and Housing Census reports for 2021.
The reports will be released over a two-year period and made freely available to the public via a new website, www.census2021.statsghana.gov.gh, according to the statement.

The Statistical Service stated, “It is intended to inform all stakeholders, particularly data users, of the outputs from the 2021 PHC and when they will be made available to the public.”

Preliminary Report, Residential Proximity Report to Essential Services Report, General Report, Thematic Reports, Analytical Reports, and Census Atlas are among the reports available.
“There are also eight (8) interactive and user-friendly products to meet the diverse needs of data users,” according to a document from the Statistical Service. “Policy briefs, interactive census results dashboard, infographics, dissemination seminars, webinars for data users, videos, fact sheets, and 1 per cent Public Use Microdata Sample are among them.”
