The assets of the late Chief officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, also referred to as Sir John, are frozen by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OPS)



The current effort is an element of the office’s ongoing inquiry into the acquisition of state lands and property mentioned in his Will.

On Sunday, May 22, it had been revealed that Sir John’s will included several land parcels within the Achimota Forest Reserve and therefore the Sakumono Ramsar site.
It also contained four parcels of land within the Achimota Forest, consisting of specified and unnamed acres, which the late politician gifted to specific individuals.
Will also had large sums of cash in both domestic and international accounts.



According to the story all his bank accounts has been frozen.
