Nelson Azaglo who is 33-years old, a self advertiser and real estate agent has been drop to court for defrauding a senior military officer an amount of GH¢170,000.00. for given the military man a Toyota Prado, a Corolla and a Toyota Hilux pick-up, all from Togo.

Mr Azaglo pleaded to the judge who is in charge of the court Ms Evelyn Asamoah’s, not guilty to the charge of defrauding by false pretence. He was later granted bail in the amount of GH300,000 with three sureties, two of which had to be justified. Every Monday, he is to report to the police.
Based on the representation made by the accused, the complainant placed an order for the three vehicles. Mr Azaglo presented himself to the military officer that he was in a position to buy cars from Togo for him (the military officer). Mr Azaglo then gave the complainant his mobile money number for the complainant to transfer money to him.
The accused then promised to deliver the vehicles in November 2020, but did not follow through and turned off his phone. According to the prosecutor, Azaglo then went into hiding, making it difficult for the complainant to contact him.
“After months of surveillance, the accused was apprehended on August 28, 2021, at Spintex Road.
“During the investigation, the accused admitted the offence in his caution statement, and after investigations, he was charged and brought before this honourable court,” the prosecutor added.
