Over the weekend, Promise’s name was once again registered on the international stage.
On Sunday night, during Wizkid’s sold-out event at London’s O2, the Ghanaian artist was introduced to perform. The show, which drew hundreds of fans, is part of the Nigerian singer’s ‘Lagos To The World’ tour.
Wizkid’s first performance sold out in just 12 minutes, putting him in the company of superstars like the Spice Girls and the Rolling Stones, who had both sold out the arena in under 13 minutes.
The ‘Slow Down’ singer was asked to perform during a segment of the concert that was attended by a large crowd after the MC remarked “representing Ghana to the fullest, I need the lights out for this young man, the King of all promises,” and the singer arrived to play his monster tune “Oh Yeah.”
King Promise seized a moment to address the Ghanaians in the audience before going to perform his “Commando” song to thrill the crowd.
An excerpt of King Promise’s performance has since been trending on social media with Ghanaian netizens appreciating his craft and expressing joy over him raising the flag of Ghana at the historic show.
