After receiving a dismissal notice from the Ghana Education Service (GES), the struggling teacher has become a discussion point in Ghana.
He was reportedly fired for supposed professional wrongdoing, although he has stated that the cause for his dismissal is really amusing.
The comedian has now turned to his Facebook page to declare that he would not return to the classroom, even if another chance arises.
“I’m sorry to disappoint most of you, but I’m not going back to the classroom,” he says. This is when the path comes to an end.
Teaching has always been my passion, but I believe I arrived in the wrong nation.
“Odiifo biara nni animuonyam w ne kuro mu,” as the saying goes.
Furthermore, I am bringing this case to COURT, not for any reason other than to make the world aware of the rots in Ghana’s education system.
I’m sure the kids will miss me, and I’m sure I’ll miss them as well.
Best wishes to Ghanaian educators. I wasn’t doing this for the sake of it. I was doing it for “US,” but it’s too bad it has to come to an end now. I’m hoping someone will come to pick up where I left off.
