A contributor to OKAY FM in Accra. If husbands choose to marry a second wife, Lady Vera thinks it’s no great issue.
On social media, there has been a heated debate about the need for husbands to consult with their wives before taking on another wife.
This comes after Yul Edochie revealed on social media that he was looking for a second wife, a move that his wife was apparently unaware of.
“When your husband marries another wife, that’s not the end of the world,” Lady Vera said in response. We’re all working now, and some of us have husbands who have died, while others have husbands who are bedridden, so how do we deal with that?
What we need to do is reconsider our position. It’s fine if a man has only married one woman. Take your role as a wife seriously and don’t back down.
If a man says he wants to marry multiple women, I believe all you need as a woman is for him to fulfill his responsibilities.
So, instead of focusing on what their husbands want to accomplish, women should rise and take responsibility for themselves,” she stated on Accra’s OKAY FM.
