Thorsten Owusu, better known as Yaw Tog, a young sensational artist, has revealed how artist Kwesi Arthur influenced him to become a musician.



According to Yaw Tog, born Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, he used to enjoy football and had plans to pursue it as a career before being influenced to become an artist.

“It happened in a certain way, but my stubbornness was too much for my mother, so she woke up one day and told me to stop playing football,” Yaw Tog told Amansan Krakye. “I was a little perplexed, but I couldn’t do anything about it because I had to stop playing football, so when I stayed home, that’s when I started listening to music,” Yaw Tog said when speaking on an interview at Kastle FM.
Talking about how he moved on after quitting football on Kastle FM in Cape Coast, Yaw Tog said he was influenced to do music after listening to Kwesi Arthur’s songs.
“I found Kwesi Arthur and I started listening to his songs so actually Kwesi Arthur influenced me and I started doing music with the writing and everything,” he added on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
He ended “When I stopped playing football most of my friends started laughing at me because in my hood everybody was into football and so we didn’t think we could succeed in doing music but I kept on fighting”.
Yaw Tog revealed on Kastle FM in Cape Coast that he was inspired to pursue music after listening to Kwesi Arthur’s songs after quitting football.
“I discovered Kwesi Arthur and began listening to his songs, so Kwesi Arthur influenced me and I started doing music with the writing and everything,” he explained on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
“When I stopped playing football, most of my friends laughed at me because in my hood, everybody was into football, and we didn’t think we could succeed in music, but I kept fighting,” he concluded.
