The small amount of money that the UK government will donate will help Ghana. When we complete the deal, it’s probable that we will receive more than 1000 pounds to come and help the health system in Ghana for every single nurse who departs, he said on Monday.
Barbados acquired 200 more Ghanaian nurses in March of this year to help with the island nation’s personnel requirements.
In a speech, Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Motley thanked the administration for providing assistance to the health sector of her nation.
2019 saw the signing of a contract between Ghana and Barbados for the recruitment of nurses from Ghana.
Over 100 Ghanaian nurses were initially hired as a result of the arrangement, which was signed at the Jubilee House when Mia Mottley made President Akufo-Addo a courtesy visit as part of her official tour to Ghana.
Some have urged that the nurses be integrated into Ghana’s Health Service, which has raised worries about the program.
