“And I believe this is one of those days when just getting here and seeing their smiles and making sure that everything is simply provided to them and knowing that we’re here to support and encourage them.”
In a press statement, Mercedes CEO and President Dimitris Psillakis remarked about the Christmas gift, expressing his delight for this year’s shoe campaign.
“We are happy to be collaborating with Shoes That Fit and donating footwear to children around the nation.”
“This is a concrete step toward ensuring that children enter at school confident and ready to learn, play, and thrive,” Psillakis said.
Dr. Lisa Herring, superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, and Thalise Perry, principal, both talked about the program’s advantages.
They said that by providing the youngsters with the opportunity to get new shoes, they would feel better about themselves and develop in confidence.
According to Herring, Luda and Mercedes’ collaboration gives the youngsters “an chance to have tremendous confidence as they walk confidently in new shoes that have been supplied for them.”
