

Mr Richard K. Atikpo, Board Chairman of Legon Cities Football Club, has completely redesigned the Kecheibi Primary School in the Oti Region’s Nkwanta South Municipality.
The renovation, which cost thousands of Cedis, was completed to commemorate his 40th birthday. A further 100 double-sitting desks were also donated to the school. The school, which was a BECE Centre with over a thousand students, was in disrepair and clearly needed some consideration.

Chairman Atikpo was elected as the Representative of the Oti Region in the highly respected and influential Council of State where He is expected to bring his experiences in the area of sports and the oil industry to bear on the nations developmental agenda.
Mr Atikpo, who is likewise the Council of State Member addressing the Oti Region just as the Board Chair of Lemla Group which includes Legon Cities FC, Gulf Energy, Lemla Energy and others vowed to help out Education everywhere in the coming years.
At the program, Mr Atikpo said that “As the proud owner of a Premier Division club, it is my utmost responsibility to contribute in any way that I can to help support football in the region. I am well aware that a number of players from the region have recently made their way to the Premier League and beyond, and it is my belief that many more will come through the ranks here to play the sport at a very high level,”
