At 1:45 a.m. on a weekday, a guy in a world when almost anything can be bought online decided to buy 300 iPhones at a real Apple shop in Manhattan and stroll out with a few branded “Apple” bags like it was nothing.
What are the risks, if any? As you may have guessed from the headline, the guy was robbed on the way back to the vehicle and lost 125 cellphones valued about $95,000.
The unidentified 27-year-old male, according to an NYPD statement, often visited the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue and purchased large quantities of iPhones to resell.

According to the police, two males came out of a car and demanded the man give up his tiny fortune as he walked down the street with three bags full of iPhones.
The guy fought them off, so they hit him in the face and got away with one of the bags.
It’s possible the thieves had been keeping tabs on him for some time, according to police, because of his spending habits.
However, the crime is still under investigation, and officials have urged for anybody with information to come forward.
The burglars may have known that the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue was open around the clock and that it was holding a Black Friday deal.
