The defendant, Kwame Maxwell, allegedly stabbed his wife, Betty, after she accused him of cheating on her, according to eyewitnesses.
According to their landlady, the incident occurred early Saturday morning after she heard a loud call for aid coming from the deceased’s chamber.
She claimed she ran to the scene and observed the deceased’s husband, who was covered in blood and rushing out of the room.
“Just as I was nodding asleep, I heard someone say ‘he’s killing me,’ and that was the end of it.” I was afraid and awoke when I didn’t hear any more cries. My son had also awoken. The wail was later identified as coming from the deceased’s room. So we exited, and I stood in front of the room’s door, while my son stood in front of a different door.”
“Because the man had turned out all the lights in the room, it was difficult to see what was going on.” When the man emerged, we noticed bloodstains on his hands. The man had stabbed his wife, my son exclaimed. So I noticed him wiping the bloodstains on his hand with his wife’s nightgown.
He then walked out of the room. I was following him out the door when he abruptly leapt the wall and walked away. I inquired as to why he was running away, but he remained silent.”
“I then returned to check on the wife.” “That’s when my son started screaming that the man had killed my wife,” Ama Nyarko, the Landlady, narrated.
As a result, the Landlady is pleading with the police to arrest and prosecute the suspect in accordance with the law.
“What I want is for the police to find Maxwell wherever he is,” Ama Nyarko continued.
Meanwhile, local police have launched an investigation into the incident.
