Divers in the area have been combing the river in the hopes of finding the victim’s body, but to no avail.
Christopher Andoful, the victim’s devastated father, has been narrating the incident.
“I got a call that my son had drowned.” So I dropped what I was doing and ran home. When I arrived, I noticed the other two boys were missing my son. I was told that while drowning, he called for help, but because no one was there, the two others tried to pull him out, but they couldn’t. Someone jumped into the river to find him, but they were unsuccessful.”
The incident has been reported to the police, who will take appropriate action. The father also stated that the traditional authorities had been notified.
“I filed a complaint with the police and the supreme chief.” The chief was nowhere to be found. “However, those at the palace say they can’t do anything until the chief comes around,” he added.
